Terracotta amphora so-called vummula, the upper part is of a traditional brown color and the lower part preserves the natural color of the clay . handmade shaped using a turning technique, usable as an ornament for the home or garden .
These ancient processing techniques have their roots in very ancient Etruscan and Greek times.
The craft laboratory is located in the heart of the Pollino National Park located in Calabria in the Province of Cosenza . It has been going on for four generations, passing down the secrets of artisanal terracotta processing to make it artistic and a true reference to the Calabrian tradition of ceramics. 
The amphora is an ancient vase usually with two handles, more or less elongated in shape and noticeably narrowed at the mouth and at the base. In ancient times it was an indispensable tool because it was used for the conservation and transport of liquids or even products. or inconsistent materials.
The unit of measurement of the amphora in Roman times corresponded to approximately 26 litres.
